Nate Byham, Pitt, No. 80
6-3, 245, sophomore, TE
2007 -- Byham underwent MCL surgery on his left knee after being injured in the second quarter of Pitt's 48-37 loss to South Florida, and missed the season finale with West Virginia. He had started Pitt's first 11 games at tight end and had 15 catches for 210 yards, including a 50-yard touchdown from Kevan Smith in a 34-10 victory over Grambling on Sept. 8. Pitt finished 5-7.
2006 -- Byham got the start at TE in Pitt's opener against Virginia. Click here to read all about it. He caught his first touchdown pass, a 23-yarder from Tyler Palko, to begin the scoring in Pitt's 45-27 loss to West Virginia. His first and only other collegiate catch was an 11-yard reception in Pitt's 52-7 victory over Central Florida. Byham saw action in 11 of Pitt's 12 games. The Panthers closed the regular season with a 6-6 record.
Rich Cerro, Edinboro, No. 14
5-9, 186, Jr., WR
2007 -- Cerro earned second-team All-Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference Western Division honors after leading Edinboro in receiving with 58 catches for 647 yards in 10 games. He scored five touchdowns. The Fighting Scots finished 7-4.
2006 -- After beginning his college career at Clarion, Cerro transferred to Edinboro
where he red-shirted last season. He was second on the team in all-purpose yards with 951 (86.5 average) as the Fighting Scots finished 6-5. Cerro enjoyed his biggest day as a collegian Nov. 4 when he caught seven passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns. The 184 yards receiving ranks No. 8 on Edinboro's all-time single-game list. His touchdowns covered 78 and 28 yards and came on consecutive offensive plays in the Boro's 54-30 victory over Shippensburg. (The game was played at Allegheny College after snow made the Sox Harrsion Stadium surface unplayable.)
Cerro finished the season with 27 catches for 428 yards. He also averaged 6.6 yards on 17 punt returns and 21.6 yards on 19 kickoff returns. One of his kickoff returns covered 73 yards. He also had a 66-yard catch that set up a touchdown against IUP.

Lake Erie College, located in Painesville, Ohio, has a club team, which plays various jayvee college teams on Sundays and Mondays. So far the team is 4-0, averaging 56 points per game.
Special mention -- Kevin Harris, Wake Forest, No. 23
6-1, 230, sophomore, RB
Harris' father, Mick, played for FHS on Franklin's unbeaten teams in 1971 and
1972. Kevin graduated from Seminole High School in Sanford, Fla., in 2005. Mick coached Kevin his senior year.
2007 -- Harris is out with a wrist injury heading into Wake Forest's regular season finale Nov. 24 against Vanderbilt. He has appeared in nine games for the Demon Deacons, carrying 24 times for 60 yards, and catching three passes for 25 yards and a TD. Wake, 7-4, is bowl eligible for the second-straight season.
2006 -- Harris appeared in 11 of 14 games for Wake Forest, which won its first ACC title since 1970, but lost to Louisville, 24-13, in the Oragne Bowl . Harris did not play in the bowl game. Still, he finished second on the team in rushing with 393 yards, averaging 5 yards per carry. He scored six TDs.
Harris rushed three times -- two for first downs -- for 31 yards before suffering a knee injury in the second quarter of the Deamon Deacons' 24-17 win over North Carolina on Oct. 28. Mick Harris said Kevin was blocking on a quarterback scramble when a tackle for the Tar Heels rolled into Kevin from behind.
