Knights Notes

The Knights were 1-1 against the winless, beating Oil City for their only victory of the season, and losing to Grove City...Rocky Bailey scored two TDs, one on a 47-yard run, and Andy Adams made two interceptions against the Oilers...

But starting with Grove City, the Knights were blanked their last three games of the season, including the finale against Warren, which was the last game played at Miller- Sibley Field...Former Franklin resident Mick Caldwell passed for 134 yards and three touchdowns and scored another for the Dragons...The final TD at the field came on a 36-yard interception return by Mike Mohney...Games had been played at M-S since 1916...There were no special ceremonies...The new field on Pone Lane opened the following spring with track and field...

Bailey led the Knights with three TDs...The only touchdown pass was a 29-yarder from Ed Ritchey to Andy Adams against Wilmington...The Knights scored all 21 of their points in that game in the fourth quarter...Adams made at least four interceptions for the Knights...

Tech's Greg Riley scored on a 96-yard quarterback sneak as the game ended...
