Smith named to Edinboro's all-time team

Franklin coach Dave Smith was one of 55 players -- and eight defensive linemen -- to be named to Edinboro University's all-time team.

Smith, a four-year starter whose career
Smith
ended in 2002, holds school records for tackles for loss in a season (20 in 2001) and  in a career (57). He  is tied for second on Edinboro's career sacks list with 25.5.

Smith, 6-3, 250, was a four-time All-PC West selection. He plays for the Erie Freeze.

Also named to the team was Titusville's Jim Romanisyzn, who went on to play for the Cleveland Browns. Romaniszyn played at Edinboro from 1970-72, accumulating 3,017 all-purpose yards, including 1,083 receiving.
