Knights 26, Central Tech 8
Bob Fazzolare rushed for 121 yards and two touchdowns for the Knights. He scored on a 55-yard run in the first quarter and a 31-yard run in the second.
Andrew McFeaters passed to Zach Murray for the PAT after Fazzolare's first TD. The Knights added two more TDs in the fourth quarter on a 4-yard run by Sean Cogswell and a 37-yard run by Dylan Renfrew. Dan Uber recovered a fumble, and Travis Adams and Mike Sadler each had an interception. Cody Waagner was lauded for his play on both lines.
Titusville game canceled
The Knights' game with Titusville on Sept. 10 was canceled due to injuries.
Meadville 34, Knights 6
Cody Waagner caught an 18-yard pass from Steven Myers in the third quarter for the Knights' only touchdown. Myers also completed a 37-yard pass to Barrett Evans during the game. The coaching staff singled out Evans for defense.
Knights 28, Slippery Rock 20
Steven Myers passed for two touchdowns and Dylan Renfrew and Zac Murray each
ran for one. Myers hit Travis Adams for a 37-yarder score in the second quarter and Renfrew for a 50-yard TD in the fourth. Franklin registered a safety and Cody Waagner caught a pass from Myers for a PAT. Myers, Waagner and Zac Richey recovered fumbles, while Adams intercepted a pass. Brandon Sires also starred defensively. The Knights are 2-1.
Knights 14, Oil City 0
Dylan Renfrew and Sean Cogswell scored second-half touchdowns for the Knights, Renfrew's 37-yard run in the third quarter and Travis Adams' pass to Tyler Moon for the PAT staked the Knights to an 8-0 lead. Cogswell added a 64-yard TD in the fourth quarter. Jesse Worsk led the Knights with 103 yards rushing, including a 78-yard quarterback sneak. Coach Pete McIntyre praised the entire defense fror posting the shutout.
Warren 39, Knights 0
Warren led 13-0 at the quarter, 32-0 at halftime and added its last TD in the third quarter. Coach Pete McIntyre lauded the play of QB Jesse Worsk and WR Bakaree Vearnon. Jeremy Reed blocked a punt.
East 36, Knights 28
Brandon Sires ran for two touchdowns and Steven Myers passed for two more. Myers hit Barrett Evans for a 16-yard TD in the opening quarter and Travis Adams added the PAT. Sires scored on a 1-yard run in the second quarter, but East held a 20-14 halftime lead. The Knights scored twice in the fourth quarter as Myers hit Adams for a 15-yard TD and Sires scored on a 7-yard run.
Strong Vincent 52, Franklin 30
Steve Myers threw two TD pases to Bob Fazzolare covering 25 and 45 yards. Jesse Worsk scored on a 3-yard run and Jeremy Reed hit paydirt from 83 yards out after taking a lateral from Fazzolare in the fourth quarter. Bakaree Vearnon, Zach Murray and Fazzolare scored PAT, all on passes, two from Travis Adams and the other from Myers. Myers passed for 88 yards and Fazzolare had 76 yards receiving. The coaching staff praised Vearnon for special teams play and Sean Hartle for defense. Zac Richey recovered a fumble. The Knights finished with a 3-5 record.
